Catechesis of The Good Shepherd Level 1 (ages 3 - 6)
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is based on two pillars: Scripture and Liturgy. The adult and child immerse themselves in Scripture to ponder who God is, His love for us, His Kingdom, and how we are to live in that Kingdom. By lifting up specific aspects of the Liturgy for the child, the adult helps them to understand the depth of the Mass and to better participate in the life of the Church that Jesus Himself founded.
First Reconciliation and Communion Preparation (ages 7+)
Seven is the typical age to receive First Communion. This requirement may be waived at the discretion of the Pastor in consultation with the child's parents and the First Communion teacher.
At Christ the King, we utilize the Signs of Grace curriculum from the Augustine Insititute to prepare our youth to receive their first communion and reconciliation.

Confirmation and Beyond (ages 9+)
This class will focus on the children developing a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and learning the articles of the Catholic faith as found in the Creed, all with the goal of preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
For those who have already been confirmed, this class will be adding "layer upon layer" of our Catholic Faith!
We will be utilizing the texts 'Preparation for Confirmation According to the Baltimore Catechism' and 'The New Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism No 2.'
